NEW DELHI: A Jammu and Kashmir policeman was on Thursday martyred by terrorists in Bogund village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Police said.
The killing comes day after Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had warned policemen to leave their jobs and join them.
However, none of terror outfits operating in Kashmir has taken responsibility of the attack till the time of filing this story.
“Constable Shabir Ahmad Dar was shot outside his home in Kulgam. He was posted with Special Operations Group (SOG) and was currently on leave,” a senior police official said.
“Dar was referred to Srinagar hospital but unfortunately he succumbed to injuries on the way,” the officer added.
